In this article, we will show you how to Efficiently Manage Customers in DISH POS Backoffice.

Managing customer profiles effectively is a crucial part of streamlining your restaurant or retail operations. The DISH POS Backoffice system allows you to organize customer data, set credit terms, and control what appears on your active terminals. Here is a complete guide to navigating and managing customer accounts in your system. 

 

14 STEPS

1. From your DISH POS Backoffice homepage, click on the Customers icon located in the main navigation menu on the left side of your screen.

2. Use the top search bar within the Customers module to quickly locate specific profile details or existing entries in your system.

3. To add a new customer to your database, click the orange Create new customer button located near the top-right corner of the page.

4. In the creation panel, start by entering the customer's full name in the Name field to establish their primary account identity.

5. Toggle the Active switch to control whether this profile displays directly within your active POS terminal app.

6. Scroll down to the Contact information section to input the customer’s phone number and primary email address.

7. In the Billing address section, complete the required fields including street name, building number, city, postal code, and country.

8. Toggle the Customer is authorized to pay later option if you would like to enable this customer to put orders directly onto their account balance.

9. Enter a specific monetary amount in the Credit limit field to specify the maximum balance allowed for pay-later orders.

10. Click the orange Save button in the bottom-right corner to permanently register the customer profile details.

11. To quickly rename a customer from the main list view, click directly on their name field to activate inline editing.

12. Adjust customer active status instantly from the list view by toggling the Active switch next to the corresponding entry.

13. To update comprehensive profile details for an existing customer, click the Edit button on the right side of their entry row to make changes.

14. That's it. You have successfully learned how to add, configure, and edit customer accounts within the DISH POS Backoffice system.

Navigating and Searching Customer Accounts

To start managing your customer database, log into the DISH POS Backoffice homepage and click the Customers icon on the left navigation menu. From the main list view, you can perform several quick actions: 

  • Search: Use the top search bar to instantly look up specific customer profile details or existing entries. 
  • Quick Name Edits: Click directly on a customer's name field in the list to trigger inline editing. 
  • Status Toggles: Turn the Active switch on or off next to any name in the list view to control profile visibility on your POS terminal app. 

Creating a New Customer Profile

To add a new customer to your database, click the orange Create new customer button in the top-right corner of the page. From there, fill out the following account sections: 

  • Basic Info: Enter the customer's full name in the Name field. Use the Active toggle switch to decide whether this profile displays on your live POS terminals immediately. 
  • Contact Information: Scroll down to input the customer's phone number and primary email address. 
  • Billing Address: Complete the required address fields, including street name, building number, city, postal code, and country. 

Setting Up Pay-Later Privileges and Credit Limits

DISH POS Backoffice makes it easy to offer account billing to trusted clients: 

  • Authorize Pay-Later: Toggle the Customer is authorized to pay later switch to allow the customer to charge orders directly to their account balance. 
  • Set Credit Limits: Enter a specific monetary value into the Credit limit field to restrict how much balance they can accumulate. 
  • Save Profile: Click the orange Save button in the bottom-right corner to finalize and store the profile. 

Updating Existing Customer Profiles

If you need to make comprehensive updates to an existing account, locate the customer in your main list view and click the Edit button on the far-right side of their entry row. This opens their full configuration panel, where you can modify contact information, update billing details, or adjust credit limits as needed.
