Getting started
In this section you will learn how to log in, connect to your system and find your way around the POS interface so you can start working efficiently and confidently.
Before diving into order taking or the management of tables, it is important that you are familiarized with the basics of the system.

To log in, open the DISH POS app and enter your assigned credentials. Make sure your internet connection is active.
The mobile app features four key areas: Order Entry, Table View, Payment, and Settings. Use the bottom navigation bar to switch views. Each function is designed to be intuitive, so your team can work efficiently with minimal training.
Table Management
Proper table management will keep your service organized and flowing smoothly, especially during busy hours. In this section, you will learn how to open, split, move, and manage tables using the DISH POS system. These tools help your staff stay coordinated, reduce wait times, and ensure guests have a seamless dining experience from start to finish.

An open table allows adding, editing, and splitting orders. It also gives access to notes, discounts, and seating time tracking. You can view which staff opened the table and current progress.
Facilities, on this page you will fin the areas and tables for your Business. When you click on the name of the business you will see them appear.
Within the app there are features which are available when you press a button down for a longer time (the so-called long press).
If you are not using a table map, you will get the block view by default.

In the table map, DISH POS works with a color indicator, whose times you set in the back office.

Initiating Orders
Reopening an order allows staff to make changes after the initial entry—ideal for editing mistakes, adding missed items, or adjusting payment methods.
Facilities represent different areas or setups within your business.
While taking an order, tap on a product category (e.g., Drinks, Starters) and then select the specific item. You can modify it (e.g., size, extra toppings) before confirming.
Fixed-price menus (e.g., lunch specials) bundle items for a set price. From the product list, go to the menu section and select the fixed-price option. The system will guide you to choose one item per course.
Flexible payments allow customers to pay in multiple ways or at different times. After the order is entered, go to the payment screen and select “Split Payment.”
Payment Handling
Handling payment smoothly is a crucial part of giving the costumer a great experience. This section covers all essential functions for processing transactions like taking payments, adding tips, printing receipts and handling refunds.
This part in critical for front office and cash register operations:
Record cash payments and edit the amount and reason.
When processing payments, tap “Add Tip” before finalizing. You can enter a fixed amount or percentage. Tips are tracked per employee and included in the shift report.
Tap “QR Payment” on the payment screen. A code will be generated that the customer scans with their banking or wallet app. Once payment is completed, the POS will show confirmation.
At checkout, you choose a payment method the guest will use to checkout.
