Sales Channels - Configuring Future Food Ordering (Order2POS/Webshop)

In this tutorial, we will show you how to enable Future Food Ordering feature for your webshop.

The Future Food Ordering (FFO) feature allows customers to place orders for a future date and time instead of only ordering for the same day. This is useful for customers who want to schedule a pickup or delivery in advance.

Note: Future Food Ordering is only available for Webshop sales channels in the Netherlands.

Requirements

Before enabling Future Food Ordering, make sure the following requirements are met:

  • Backoffice and cloud components are running on Luik-01 or higher.
  • Frontoffice is running on Luik-01 (v3s432b9.0) or higher.
  • The Webshop sales channel is enabled.

 

13 STEPS

1. The first step is to log in to your Backoffice.

2. Then go to Self-service

3. Click Sales channels

4. Search for the Webshop Sales Channel you want to configure and click the Edit (pencil) icon.

5. Locate the Allow order scheduling in the Pickup setting.

6. Enable the toggle.

7. Repeat the step for the Delivery Setting by locating the Allow order scheduling under the Delivery section.

8. Enable the toggle.

9. Click Save

10. Navigate to General

11. Click General

12. Click Send to send the configuration to the POS Appliance.

13. That's it and the Future Food Ordering feature is now enabled for your Webshop!

Step-by-step instructions

To enable Future Food Ordering, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your backoffice
  2. Go to Self-service.
  3. Click Sales Channels.
  4. Search for the webshop sales channel you want to configure.
  5. Click the Edit (pencil) icon.
  6. Locate the Allow order scheduling setting.
  7. Enable the toggle.
  8. Click Save.
  9. Navigate to General → General.
  10. Click Send.
  11. Wait for the configuration to be sent to the POS Appliance.

The Future Food Ordering Feature is now enabled for your webshop!

Important Notes

  • Correct date, time, and timezone settings are required on the POS device. Incorrect settings may cause scheduled orders to appear or be processed at the wrong time.
  • After enabling Allow order scheduling, do not forget to go to General → General and click Send to apply the configuration to the POS Appliance.
  • Future Food Ordering is only available for sales channels with the Webshop functionality enabled.
