In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to adjust the appearance of the kiosk.

21 STEPS

1. Welcome to the DISH POS dashboard. In this tutorial, we show you how to adjust the appearance of the kiosk.

2. First, click on Self-service.

3. Click Sales channels

4. You are now in the overview of your sales channels. To adjust the settings, use the edit icon of the corresponding sales channel.

5. To manage the fulfillment options, use the respective sliders.

Note: One option will always be activated.

6. In the Ticket printing options section, you can choose between three settings: print at customer’s request, no ticket printing, or always print ticket.
Note: The “no ticket printing” option may depend on local fiscal regulations.

7. Then select the languages for the sales channel by using the corresponding drop-down menu.

8. You can assign multiple languages to the sales channel. Do so by selecting the languages from the menu.

9. Afterward, select the default language through the corresponding drop-down menu.

10. To manage the content of the sales channel, click on Content.

11. In the content section, you now can create a welcome text. Do so by using the corresponding text field.

12. To set colors and images for the webshop, go to the Appearance section.

13. The primary color can adjusted by using the corresponding field. To adjust the product image style, use the respective drop-down menu and select your preferred depiction.

14. To upload a logo, use the designated area to drag and drop your file there or click on browse to search through your system for the file.
Note: The maximum size of the uploaded file is 1 MB.

15. You can also add media for different areas on your webshop, such as welcome image, success image, error image, and menu header image.

16. Then go to Opening hours to set up the standard hours of your kiosk.

17. Click on the drop-down menu and select the preset time.

18. Once you are done, click on Save to apply the changes.

19. Back in the overview, you can access your kiosk by clicking Open link and see the effect of the changes.

20. This is how your kiosk can look like once you set up the settings for it.

21. That's it. You completed the tutorial and now know how to adjust the appearance of the kiosk.

Step-by-step instructions

In order to adjust the appearance of the Kiosk, check the following steps:

  1. Log in to your backoffice
  2. Go to Self-service
  3. Click Sales Channels
  4. Click on the edit icon of your kiosk
  5. Here you can change the general settings such as:
  • Fulfilment options (Eat Here, Take Away)
  • Ticket Printing options 
    • Print ticket at customer's request
    • No ticket printing *
    • Always print ticket
  • Languages
  • Content (welcome text)
  • Appearance (colors, logos, graphics)
  • Change opening hours
  1. Click Save and send the changes to your location.

*Note: The "No ticket printing" option may depend on local fiscal regulations.

In this tutorial, we are going to show you how to configure the buzzer (or pager) functionality on your ordering kiosk. This feature allows you to manage guest order notifications more efficiently by assigning a buzzer or number token during the order process.

Step-by-step instructions

To configure buzzer/pager support for your kiosk, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Backoffice
  2. Go to Self-service
  3. Click on Sales Channels
  4. Click on the edit icon next to your kiosk

  1. A new tab is available for buzzer configuration. 
  2. In this tab, you can select your preferred buzzer mode:
  • No Buzzers: The feature is disabled.
  • Optional: Guests can choose whether to use a buzzer.
  • Mandatory: A buzzer number must be entered for every order.

 

  1. You can provide up to two instruction texts that will appear on the kiosk screen:
  • Instruction 1: Shown when the guest enters their buzzer number.
  • Instruction 2: Displayed after the payment is completed.
  1. You can also add an image of your buzzer, stand, or number holder to make the instructions clearer for guests.
  2. If you wish to translate these texts:
  • Click on the Translation link within the buzzer tab.
  • The kiosk settings will be saved automatically before you are redirected.
  • In the translation page, select Ordering kiosk order indicator instructions from the dropdown menu.
  • Only kiosks with buzzer functionality activated will appear.

 

Additional Information

  • Works in both single-store and multi-store setups.
  • You can configure multiple kiosks individually depending on whether you use buzzers, table numbers, or other identifiers.
